You’ve booked your hair and nail appointments and the clock is winding down to the big day. You go to try on those perfect peep-toe shoes you spent months looking for, and EEK! Nail fungus! Before you convince yourself that the screeching sound you are hearing is the world coming to a grinding halt do three things for me: stop, breathe, and listen up.
It probably feels like in this moment that you are the only one that has ever suffered from this atrocity at such a critical juncture in their lives. Not true, girlfriend. Nail fungus affects almost 30 million Americans, so you are not alone. Given this, it should come as no surprise that you can treat it. And you should. Are you breathing yet? Good. Here’s where you need to listen.
Nail fungus cannot and should not be ignored. This will not clear up on its own, in fact, can even get worse if you don’t do anything about it. Now, besides the pain you will experience and the disruption of everyday activities if you don’t treat it, you will NOT want to wear those pretty peep-toes on your wedding day if you don’t do anything about it.
So let’s forget about the long term consequences, because, we are going to do something about it. If you don’t take care of your nails now, those shoes are not only going to not LOOK pretty, but your feet are going to be darn uncomfortable. Depending on how much time you have when you do discover this problem, you can talk to your doctor for medication or look online for some topical laquers that will help remedy this problem.
Don’t ignore those yukky nails though. You need to shine from head to gleaming toe on your big day. Those hands need to be picture perfect and ring worthy, and your cute little peep-toes are dying to make a glamorous appearance. Take care of it now.
