Many things for the wedding day are important. It can be a very stressful time trying to plan everything with the hope that the day is perfect. Aside from all the planning of the actual event, brides will want to look their best. Many times, however, they do not think about these issues until later in the planning.

Often personal appearance gets overlooked until the last minute. She will have chosen her beautiful gown, wedding lingerie, exquisite veil, and lovely jewelry but may not have thought about her personal appearance and things she might like to improve or change for that special day.

Some of those changes might include:
** teeth whitening
** losing a few pounds
** pedicure
** manicure
** hairdo or style change
** new style of shoes
** facial changes

These things are important well in advance just like the other planning so the bride has time to make the changes and decide whether she likes them or not.

Teeth Whitening:
This is a matter of personal preference but some brides feel that their wedding pictures may look better after they have whitened their teeth from ugly stains. This may take some time to accomplish so make sure you start early enough to achieve your desired results.

Losing a Few Pounds:
Everyone seems to want to be small or wear a size smaller than they presently do. In reality, it is probably not prudent to mess with your weight right before your wedding day. Remember your wedding dress is very costly and any weight gain or loss may cause serious issues with the size of your dress.

Also, unless you have recently gained a lot of weight, remember that your husband-to-be knows you as the size you are and accepts you just that way.

Pedicure and Manicure:
You will want to make sure your feet and hands are as nice as possible. Try out different color polishes in advance and wear the colors a few days to see if the color actually suits you and your skin tone. Many times I have chosen a nail polish for myself only to find it is too loud or not just right for me.

You will want your feet to be soft so that your stockings do not catch and run on the heels and sides from callouses. Also, make sure if you suffer from any type of toenail fungus, you have that treated early enough in case you decide to wear open toed shoes. You will not want people to see the yellowing and unsightly appearance of the fungus.

Your will want your hands to smooth and attractive to show off your lovely rings. Your pictures of your hands will be so much nicer with properly manicured nails.

Hairdo or Hair Style:
DO NOT under any circumstances make any drastic changes to your hairstyle the day before or the day of your wedding. Any changes to hair color, length, style, etc should be done well enough in advance so that you have time to change the outcome should it not be a positive experience.

You should really visit the hairdresser sometime well in advance and try out the desired “hairdo” so that you can decide whether the results are what you wished for. Try a hairdo out by computer first and search for pictures to show the hairdresser and possibly try before the wedding day.

New Shoes:
Many brides do not think about the comfort of their shoes. They find shoes that match their dress and try them on one time only to find the day of the wedding they are in incredible pain.

In order to find the best fitting shoes and ones that are comfortable for you,
try to find the style of shoe to which you are accustomed. You should always try the shoes out in the afternoon. Do not buy shoes in the morning when your feet are smaller. Your feet swell as the day goes by and you will have a better idea of the fit when your feet are expanded

Once you have purchased your shoes, try to break them in by wearing them indoors for a few hours a couple days so you know they fit you properly.

Lastly, do not buy shoes that are too small or shoes you don’t like just because they match your dress.

In summary, although you will be beautiful as you are, if you do wish to make personal changes, plan those changes in advance just like you do the other aspects of your wedding.
