Bridal showers, pre-wedding day parties and engagement announcement gatherings all create an environment for the use of plasticleopard-print-cups forks, knives, spoons and plates. But if the bride and groom are serious about preserving and protecting the earth, their families and friends who host these events should respect the couple’s feelings and try to do their part to contribute to a green wedding.

In defense of the friends and family members, the largest problem for most people when trying to please the couple and acquiesce to their green wishes, is that most people have no clue where to start or what to do to make a party eco-friendly. The bride and groom practice green living as part of their normal everyday lives, but the vast majority of people are not environmentally aware and as a result, do not participate in conservation.
