How to Request “Green Gifts”

favor-fans-gold-with-flourishesIf the event is one at which guests usually bring gifts, you might add to the invitation that the couple is interested in the environment. But do not make it sound as though, the guests are obligated to bring eco-friendly gifts. This may be difficult for most people to do and may cause hard feelings. For those individuals that would like to try and bring something “green”, try looking for items such as non-toxic cleaners, all natural bath products, rice paper note cards or even a soy made garment.

Indeed, the key to making a successful green event is to try your best and do what you can to show an effort in respecting the bride and groom’s preferences. It is not necessary to go overboard and certainly if the items cannot be found or the cost is prohibitive, then make small concessions to host the green affair.
